If all you wanted was me then I’ll give you nothing less.

Slip Into Your Skin - Patrick Watson
Be the blanket for my bones. Be a place that I call home. Slipped into your skin and spent the night.
Ray LaMontagne- Trouble
Trouble,
Trouble, trouble, trouble, trouble
Trouble been doggin’ my soul
Since the day I was born
Worry
Worry, worry, worry, worry, worry
Worry just will not seem to leave my mind
Alone.

Christmas Lights - Coldplay
Like some drunken Elvis singing, I go singing out of tune saying how I always loved you darling and I always will.
Ode To… - Rachael Yamagata
I understand the price, the cost of craving dark instead of light. I flip a coin to see if you still care tonight.
Cold Fame - Band of Skulls
I know my place, but it don’t know me.
[Sufjan Stevens - Chicago] + [Coldplay - Clocks]
This is quite glorious.
Sufjan Stevens vs. Coldplay - Chicago / Clocks by smrq:
A mashup of Sufjan Stevens’ “Chicago” and Coldplay’s “Clocks”. Well, not exactly a mashup— it’s literally the two tracks layered over each other, with minimal alterations (key, tempo). Be warned: I can’t listen to the originals anymore; they sound too empty. They are half-songs. (That’s a joke.) download

Burn - Ray LaMontagne
Oh, so don’t pay no mind to my watering eyes. Must be something in the air that I’m breathing. Yes ‘n I try to ignore all this blood on the floor. It’s just this heart on my sleeve that’s a bleeding.
Christmas Time is Here (Instrumental) - Vince Guaraldi
Everybody Knows - Ryan Adams
You and I together, but only one of us in love. And everybody knows.
“Lemonworld” / This pricey stuff makes me dizzy. I guess I’ve always been a delicate man.
The National, HIGH VIOLET
[I choose this as my most favorite song of the year. I also select this as my most favorite album of 2010. I can do this. I’m perfectly content with this decision, ready to take it to a desert island and wait for no one to come. These songs are moody and sentimental, and when so many people say “This is giving me such deep feelings” I worry that we’re creating a sort of cliche. But nevermind. There’s something beautiful and mysterious about an album as a sponge. For me, more than any other band, The National make sponge albums. That is, entire records capable of sopping up a time in life. Every track of Boxer has had a strange way of wringing out vividly distinct memories; High Violet will be no different. I think we’re all—my generation—responding to this music, wearing it out and threading Matt Berninger’s voice through the tiniest eyelet of our experiences as a means to hold on.]
Sing Me To Sleep - Fran Healy feat. Neko Case
I wanna hold you but it’s just too late now.
Twilight - Elliott Smith
You’re wonderful and it’s beautiful, but I’m already somebody’s baby. And if I went with you, I’d disappoint you too. Well, I’m already somebody’s baby.
